Gaining experience enables you to level up. Each time you pass a level you earn 5 characteristic points and 1 spell point. Invest them according to your strategy. But be careful! Spent characteristic points can’t be retrieved. Indeed, once you’ve allocated your characteristic points, you can’t change your mind and take them back. But you can use scrolls to compensate for them.
